My travels brought me to Chicago and I decided to stop by your location to see the chairs first hand. I'm glad I did. I love my "Style" chair. The full black leather chair is the classic look I was looking for. My first hesitation put to rest by my visit was; in keeping with the Recaro seat quality, would the mechanics of the chair be of a similar design and quality? A can now confidently say that yes it is. After seeing the chair in person and now having spent some time using it, I know the quality of the chair hardware (base, rollers, adjustments) is first class, better than Steelcase office chairs that I have use for many years. I expect it to last a lifetime. My second hesitation was; is the chair worth the price? Since I have now spent a few days sitting in the chair, I have to say it is a resounding yes too. When I consider the additional dollars a car dealer gets for a 16-way power leather seat upgrade option that I may sit on just a few hours a day and then I compare that to the 8 plus hours I spend sitting in this "Style" Recaro® chair, the value is clear. I also have a job that requires sitting for long stretches – sometimes 12 to 15 hours - with very few breaks. These two factors make life very difficult for me at times. My physical therapist was adamant about finding a really good, supportive chair to help relieve my pain. I tried chairs from consumer back stores with moderate success and recently decided that, if I was going to be able to continue working that the pace required by my job, I needed to seek out the best chair that I could possibly find. I found Ergonomic Office Chairs on the internet and immediately felt I had found the right place. Tom Kramer was great in helping me find the chair that best fit my needs. After taking the time to discuss my specific needs at great length, Tom suggested I try the KAB ACS. I have to say that I am very impressed. I loved the chair the first moment I sat in it. The ACS is obviously built like a tank and has a very solid feel to it – unlike just about every other chair I’ve had. After playing with the numerous adjustments over time, it just became more and more comfortable. The support that this chair provides is just outstanding. Yesterday I sat in front of my console for 10 hours and went home with very little pain or numbness, which is very unusual. This may sound like I am over stating a little bit, but I am totally serious when I say that this chair has changed my life. When someone like me, who lives with the challenges of serious spinal injuries, can go home at the end of the day without feeling debilitating pain, it’s nothing short of a miracle. I read a testimonial from another customer who said he would not take double the money he paid for his ACS. I do not agree with him. I would take the money and use it to buy 2 more! One for home and one for work! To sum it up it is unbelievable, to the point where an expletive should be attached to that word so as to make it more defining! I have been seriously struggling with my back for a number of years. I purchased what I thought was the ultimate chair about three years ago. It was an Aeron chair. It was only about two months ago that I realized the chair was to big for me, provided no support whatsoever, particularly in the upper back. To be comfortable in the chair, it was not enough to have a footstool at my feet. I needed to raise my feet on the table. And over the years I stuffed inflatable pillows behind my back for additional support. The day I received the Recaro chair, I began to enjoy sitting again. It holds its occupant in a good sitting position by providing comfortable lateral support to both your back and your seat. One really has to work at slouching! I find that I end up making minor adjustments in arm rest height and back tilt angle countless times throughout the day as my tasks change. It allows me to be properly positioned for the varied tasks. It is easy to appreciate its construction and its appearance; however I especially appreciated not having to assemble the chair. It was so nice to be able to open the box, remove the plastic protective covering, flop the back in place, and then joyfully flop myself into it. In this world, we tend to get what we pay for; these chairs are superb and worth every penny. I've purchased two and wouldn't be without them. I like being able to adjust the multiple electronic air support systems and have charged the battery only once since I purchased the chairs (about two months ago - Aug 04). Many of us sit in a chair and work all day...essentially we print money for ourselves, or for someone else. In order to achieve optimum results we need to be as comfortable as possible. Think about it, we buy a good computer, we wear nice clothes; then we sit in a less than ideal chair and wonder why we ache or feel tired before noon. I am extremely happy with the lower back support and the very sturdy feel of the chair. And it doesn't squeak or creak like my previous chairs. The leather is super soft (Some of the best I have seen in an office chair) and the foam is very supportive. The knobs are all easily adjustable and user friendly. Plus the chair gets alot of looks and often the topic of conversation when people are in my office. I would highly recommend this chair to anyone looking for comfort and style. I am very tall and was having trouble finding a seat that had enough leg-support. All of the seats I looked at cut off at mid thigh. I can sit in the seat all day and I have no fatigue.
